It's a work in progress kind of week. I scanned in Ling, and paid for my copy of Paint Shop Pro, so now its time to ditz around with it! Because I can't afford the Photoshop CS3 I know and love so much...this is a learning curve. And with it, I decided to take on the idiotic decision of learning to paint digital fur. I'm a moron, this I know.
The first image is when I got all the lines and flat shading down. That...was probably a good 2-3 hours. The next is when I got the digital fur painted in (I suggest viewing it a bit more high res, it looks nicer that way, though...not 'perfect' or anything) I still hav ea long way to go- smoothing out colors, painting Ling's hair and tail, as well as accessories, a foreground, and at least something around the back so its not on white. Again, I grasp the fact that I'm insane. I estimate this to be done...ideally next week? Ideally.
